so another month of stories has come and gone with great fanfare. well, not so much.
we sent out requests for sentences to be used as part of our march story and we received a pretty solid response. we are each sifting through them all, picking out our favorites and then waiting for derek to text me back to figure out how we are going to go about picking which ones we actually use. we originally wanted to get three good ones to use, but since we received somewhere around 60, i have a feeling we are going to be picking five to be included.
due to my understanding that march will not have as much free time to write a story, i had been cheating a little bit and coming up with story ideas to use for about two weeks now. the idea that i had (and was pretty excited to attempt to write) was pretty much fleshed out, and i was just waiting to get the sentences i would have to insert into the story. now that i have seen the sentences, there is absolutely no way i would be able to write my idea.
my idea has now been relegated to the back burner with the hope that i can use it for some other month’s story. chances are it’s a no, but we shall see. i guess i’ll just add it to the list of projects i’m going to attempt to work on in my spare time. you know, those nine minutes each month where i can actually relax.
again, if you would like to be put on the list to receive the stories, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add you to our mailing list.
