attempting to get going this month

so i have my story idea and that’s pretty much it.  i’ve been able to put about 500 words to paper(computer) and then my mind wanders off.  i have a bad feeling i’m going to end up coming real close to the deadline this month, and hopefully that doesn’t mean the story turns out like garbage.

if there is one positive, i’ve been able to work two of the sentences into my not even 500 words.

actually, i think my brain has pretty much shut down for the foreseeable future.  if i’m lucky, everything will fall back into place in a few days and i can bang out a first draft.
